Lycksele Hospital is now looking for an engaged orthopedic surgeon who wants to help develop our operations and contribute to high-quality hospital care in a rural area. Job Responsibilities

We have operations in both day surgery and inpatient care for orthopedic patients. We perform, among other things, elective routine surgeries for hands, feet, and knees, as well as prosthetic surgery for hips and knees. Emergency orthopedic surgery is part of everyday life. At the clinic, the orthopedic team sees a broad range of unspecialized general orthopedics as well as some hand surgery.

As an orthopedic surgeon, you will be part of our work team in the physician group, with a varied job and the opportunity for subspecialization in a specific orthopedic area.

On-call and standby duties are included in the employment.

Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist training in orthopedics.

Experience in elective hip prosthetic surgery is required. Competence in knee prosthetic surgery is also an advantage.

Knowledge and experience in basic foot surgery and/or hand surgery are also considered advantageous.

It is necessary to be able to handle emergency orthopedics, including surgical intervention for the most common fractures.

You need to have good knowledge of Swedish, both orally and in writing, and other languages are seen as an asset. We value a strong interest in teamwork and a willingness to contribute to a positive work environment. Personal suitability is also given great weight.
